Trinity Course
 Trinity College Certificate in TESOL
The Trinity College Certificate in TESOL is an internationally recognized qualification of EFL/ESL teaching. The British Council, the international governing body, regards teachers with this certificate as formally qualified.

The intensive four-week course runs Monday through Friday for a total of 130 contact hours. The course requires your full attention and should not be taken lightly.

The practical nature of the course is emphasized from the very beginning. Trainees are divided into practice-teaching groups on the first day and begin their teaching to actual language students on the second day.

Teaching-practice includes a feedback session where your trainer discusses the lesson with you and gives you guidance on the teaching point for the following day. You will also observe and critique your peers, as they will do for you.

During the course you will be taught specific EFL teaching skills, language awareness (grammar and phonology), and the communicative approach to learning another language.

We believe in learning through involvement. Students are expected to participate in many different ways during the sessions. Where necessary, information will be supplied, but more commonly you will experience a workshop approach.

Assessment of trainees is continuous and is based on both actual performance and our evaluation of your future potential. Written assignments and a language exam are also included on the course.

Trinity College awards a certificate to all successful graduates.
The school giving the course awards Grades A, B, C or D; D being a fail grade. 96% of the trainees pass the course. Applicants are screened closely and their progress continually monitored.
A separate full report on individual candidates is also issued. All grades are moderated externally by a moderator appointed by Trinity College.
