London

History, culture, art. Center for international commerce. Birthplace of cutting edge theater and fashion. Home to World Heritage Sites and hip cafes. This cosmopolitan capital city with over 7 million residents is steeped in power, boasting some of the most familiar architectural landmarks, greatest art, theater and music in the world.

Whatever your passion, London's got it all. From the posh boutiques of Sloane Street, to the galleries of Chelsea; The South Bank's world renown theaters and music venues, to famous sights like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey; it's no wonder the city of London sees more than 25 million visitors annually. Whether touring historic landmarks or uncovering hidden gems, London is easily accessible by a highly developed underground transit system, The Tube.

Our London Center is located in the heart of the West End scene: Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square. Trendy bars, cafes, shops and theaters abound, giving you plenty of options during breaks and off-hours.

England has a thriving TEFL job market but without an EU passport, work is difficult to secure. There are, however, a couple exceptions to this rule. First, a degree in education, coupled with a willingness to jump through some hoops to obtain your QTS (qualified teaching status). Second, a minimum of two years of full time teaching experience.

Gateway to the world. Though you may decide taking part-time work "under-the-table" is not for you, London is a great jump off point to most anywhere in the world. If London's calling, you might consider taking the course there, then hopping on a plane to another teaching destination after completing the program.

London is a very expensive city so if you are planning to arrive early or stay around after the course, you'll need to plan accordingly ($60-$100/day on a budget!) No visa is required for stays up to six months, and those with an EU passport may live and work freely anywhere in England with no time restriction.
