We will give you an American perspective and advice based on our many years in the field as TEFL Certificate administrators, trainers and teachers.

Our schools in Prague, London, Barcelona and Madrid offer the prestigious, internationally recognized Trinity College Certificate of TESOL. For the past thirty years, the Trinity College Certificate has helped set the international standard for excellence and integrity.

The majority of TEFL Certificate schools offer adequate training to enter most international job markets. Europe is tougher. The Trinity Certificate will give you the edge. Our training will empower you with the skills, confidence and support you need to teach English anywhere in the world.

Our fees are competitive with lesser-known programs.

In addition to the Trinity College Certificate TESOL program in Prague, London, Barcelona and Madrid, PASSPORT TEFL also offers a quality Distance Course which better fits the needs of many people.

Is this right for you?
The majority of accessible jobs
are in private language schools. Major international cities have hundreds of these schools. Such schools can also be found in smaller cities and towns. Language schools are attended by young adults and business people. Some schools have programs for children as well. In many countries, teaching positions are also available in state-run schools and universities.

There are three types of EFL teaching; classroom, Business English where you are sent out into the business community to teach on-site, and private tutoring. Most teachers teach each of these forms.

An average full-time workweek is 25-30 hours. You will earn enough money to meet all your basic needs, have some fun, and travel around within the country. In some countries you can save a significant amount of money.

This field continues to grow, with Business English now accounting for over 50% of the job opportunities. Also, there is a high turnover of teachers, thus creating constant job openings.

EFL teachers come from a variety of backgrounds; recent college graduates and those who have not completed college, dotcom dropouts, Peace Corps alumni, school teachers, office and service workers, artists, retirees. The international job market is open to all that want to broaden their horizons, enrich their life experience, and contribute to the global community.

Basic requirements are a high school diploma (college preferred), a good grasp of the English language (we will refresh your grammar), adaptability, and a strong sense of adventure. We can teach you the rest.

In the international job market a certificate will get you in the door,
but equally important are your professional attitude, cultural sensitivity,
and engaging manner. Language schools hire people, not certificates.

Getting a job is relatively easy, adjusting to a new culture is not.
Living and working in another country is not for everyone.
This is more than a job, this is a lifestyle. This is what you make of it.
For those that embark upon this amazing journey, you will redefine yourself.
